Now, before I begin saying anything, I just want to let everyone know that I am going to voice my very strong opinion as to why the future Xbox 720 consumers are crazy as to wanting to buy this future console. I have already voiced my opinion about the RFID chip with Sony and how that will destroy the PS4, so now it is Microsoft's turn.
Here are the Xbox 720's Rumored Specs
- 8-core 1.6GHz processor
- 8GB of RAM
- 800 MHZ graphics processor
- 50 GB 6x Blu-Ray Disc Drive
- Gigabit Ethernet Connectivity
If you happen to be one of the future consumers of this system, you are either one of two people; super crazy or a super Microsoft fanboy/fangirl. I have heard and read many gamers opinion about this new system and only half of the people are realizing what is going on. If you have not noticed, this is a lower budget gaming computer with 2 Xbox controllers and a TV as a screen. You would have to be nuts to go out and buy this system which could be well over $600.00 since the Xbox 360 is still now $250 to $350 depending on where you buy it at.
Now that is just the console cost itself. Could you imagine the cost of the games for it now? I highly doubt that these games are going to cost just $60.00. I have a strong feeling that games are going to start costing $70.00 to $80.00 a piece and for some that is just pocket money but for standard gamers who want a home console, an increase to the price of the games just cannot happen. I know many people that have a library full of games to play for their Xbox360 and it would be shame to spend another $500.00 more dollars to get a library full of games for the Xbox 720. I'm curious about something, do you happen to know why or where the $50.00 goes too after you buy the game? Do you know why the games have to cost so much?
Do you understand where I am going with this? I understand that Microsoft is designing an Xbox720 that gamers will just love to own, but you could already own one if you just went and bought yourself a computer and plugged your Xbox 360 controller into it. Even though these specs are great, the average gaming consumer will probably not be able to afford this system or too many games for it and therefore Microsoft may fall into the pit of doom with Sony.
In the end, I hope I am wrong about this because I do love Microsoft as a company. Are you one of the Xbox720 consumers? And if so, what is your opinion about the specs and it's prices? Too high? Just right? Not enough? Please take some time and have a debate with other people in the comment section below!
