Today, additional rumors regarding Microsoft's next generation console, which is commonly referred to as the Xbox 720, has surfaced. Brought to us by an article published today on GamingCapacity, it appears that a source that has had some firsthand experience with the Xbox 720 prototype has spoken on a few details regarding the system.
From the details given, it has been reported that the Xbox 720 will supply three times the processing power of the Xbox 360. As for a release date for this console, Microsoft is pushing for a holiday 2013 launch window. Two versions of this console will appear at launch, one option will feature a 320 GB hard drive, while the other will feature a 500 GB hard drive.
It appears that Microsoft will not be supporting the Blu-ray format with the system, as a Blu-ray drive will not be supplied with the system. Following up with this information, it has been stated that Xbox Smartglass will definitely be a feature used with the Xbox 720.
