Xbox 720 and PS4 may be released with support for Eyefinity (Photos)

When comparing console and PC gaming, the PC platform provides the user a much more flexible and dynamic way of gaming. Through the use of PC gaming, a very important technology that is only present on the PC platform is that of the AMD Eyefinity Technology. With the use of this technology, and other similar ones, gamers are given the opportunity to view their video games through multiple displays.

As for the current generation console games, this feature is not provided across all titles. But, it seems that AMD may be in the process of delivering this type of technology to next generation consoles from Sony and Microsoft, which are expected to be the Xbox 720 and PS4. As displayed in a promotional video released on Jan. 7, AMD provides a glimpse at technology that they are currently working on.

Through this video, AMD places one focus on the Eyefinity technology. Speaking of this technology, AMD brings up the topic of PC gaming versus console gaming. From the information that is being delivered in this promotional message, it seems that AMD is attempting to link the gaming technology that this is on the PC platform to console systems, which will be the Xbox 720 and PS4.

This is obviously not a confirmation that this technology will reach the Xbox 720 and PS4, but it could definitely be a possibility. We have also listed a few concept photos of the Xbox 720 and PS4 in the slide-show above this article for those of you that may be interested.
