The Hollywood Reporter has featured an update on the Fantastic Four reboot. Apparently, writer Simon Kinberg has been signed on to help with rewrites for the film. The interesting thing about this news is that Simon Kinberg is the screenwriter for X-Men: First Class and the upcoming X-Men:Days of Future Past. So with this update on Fantastic Four, one has to wonder is Fox planning on making their Marvel Cinematic Universe bigger?
It has been suggested that a crossover between X-Men and Fantastic Four might be possible. Granted, Fox says there are no plans for these two teams to meet on screen at the moment. However, with Kinberg's assistance for Fantastic Four, you can't help but be curious. With the writer helping with two Marvel projects, perhaps the studio is setting up for a big time crossover. In the case of this upcoming reboot, we are most likely not going to see X-Men in the film. However, it would not be shocking if the film hints that the Fantastic Four are in the same universe as X-Men.
The Fantastic Four Reboot is scheduled to hit the silver screen on March 6,2015.
