The latest X-Men film marks the return of Bryan Singer to the series, whom directed the first two X-Men movies. Days of Future Past also hosts many of the previous X-Men film stars such as Halle Barry, Ian McKellen, Patrick Stewart, Ellen Paige, Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, and many more.
The trailer dramatically opens with Professor Xavier (Stewart) and Magneto (McKellen) advising Logan (Hugh Jackman) on a plot for him to travel back in time and stop certain events that lead to a devastating war in the future.
The film looks to bridge the time gap between the casts of X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: First Class, with James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender reprising their roles of younger Charles Xavier and Eric Lehnsherr.
From the looks of it, Singer will be bringing back plenty of drama to the film series he began, and delve into the complexities of one of Marvel's most noted story arcs.
X-Men: Days of Future Past is slated to be released on May 23, 2014.
