The second trailer for Bryan Singer’s “X-Men: Days of Future Past” is in the wild, and it continues to prove that superhero movies will probably never go out of style.

“Days of Future Past” is without a doubt the biggest film in the “X-Men” franchise. The majority of the team from Bryan Singer’s first two “X-Men” films will come face to face with the splintered group from 2011’s excellent “X-Men First Class.” In the cases of longtime teammates and enemies Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy and Patrick Stewart) and Erick Lehnsherr/Magneto (Michael Fassbender and Ian McKellen), they’ll square off with their younger selves.

“X-Men: Days of Future Past” marks Bryan Singer's return to the franchise, and it will be the third Marvel movie from as many studios in 2014. It follows Disney’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” on April 4 and Sony’s “The Amazing Spider-Man 2" on May 2.

Check out the action packed trailer and get ready to return to the world of Marvel's mutants. “X-Men: Days of Future Past” hits theaters May 23.
