The cast for the next X-Men movie keeps growing and growing. Director Bryan Singer announced on Saturday, Jan. 26 that Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore and Ellen Page have signed on to the upcoming film, X-Men: Days of Future Past. Singer posted a tweet on his official Twitter account to announce the news to the world. The director has used social media in the past to announce movie news and other casting updates. The tweet, which can be seen below, also mention the actors official Twitter accounts as well.

Paquin and Ashmore appeared together in the original X-Men movie as Rogue/Marie and Iceman/Bobby. Page portrayed the character Kitty Pryde. The trio of actors previously appeared together in X-Men: The Last Stand, directed by Brett Ratner, and were involved in a sort of love triangle. The group is just the latest batch of actors to return to the franchise, which has already confirmed Ian McKellen, Jennifer Lawrence, Michael Fassbender, Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Nicholas Hoult, and James McAvoy.
The superhero thriller is scheduled to arrive in theaters on July 18, 2014. The 20th Century Fox film features a script from Simon Kinberg and the plot summary is below:
Based on the comic book storyline "Days of Future Past," which ran in Uncanny X-Men #141 and 142 back in 1981 during Chris Claremont and John Byrne's run and introduced the idea of an alternate future for Marvel's mutants that grew out of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants killing an important senator, leading to a future where all mutants are hunted by Sentinels.
