Days of Future Past is not released for another five months, but Bryan Singer is already in the works for another X-Men.
Yesterday, the director tweeted that X-Men: Apocalypse will be scheduled for a May 27, 2016 release.
Singer has been with the X-Men franchise since the beginning when the first one came out in the summer of 2000. However, he wasn't involved in 2006's The Last Stand and 2009's X-Men Origins: Wolverine. While Rush Hour director Brett Ratner succeeded him for The Last Stand, Singer went on to produce and directed Superman Returns with Brandon Routh as the Man of Steel.
Days of Future Past assembles mostly everyone from the X-Men franchise, which includes Sirs Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen as Professor X and Magneto; James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender as Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr, their younger counterparts; Jennifer Lawrence as Raven/Mystique, Halle Berry as Storm, and Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine.
The film comes out May 23, 2014.
