Gillian Anderson, former co-star of the hit supernatural show “X-Files,” has agreed to co-star in a new series for Rand Ravich on NBC according to MSN on Feb. 26.
The drama will, in fact, resemble her previous gig in that it involves federal agents investigating conspiracies. The pilot for the series has been written by Ravich and deals with a conspiracy of international proportions and has the high rollers in Washington up to their necks in it.
As the plot unfolds, anyone who is anyone is involved. They are all being controlled by a mastermind who is threatening the very fabric of their lives. The dire circumstances unite this group of people which include the FBI, power brokers from a variety of interests and rookie Secret Service agent. It will take their combined efforts to regain control of their lives.
The project is being developed in conjunction with 20th Century Fox.
Anderson has not been resting on her laurels since “X-Files” ended either, though her work has been primarily in British televisions with shows including "Bleak House," "Great Expectations" and "The Fall."
