NASHVILLE, Tenn., March 7, 2013 - The X-Factor season 2 winner Tate Stevens has revealed the cover art and track listing for this upcoming self-titled major label debut, out April 23. Striking a relaxed pose, the photo (see above) only hints at the singer's undeniable charm he exuded on Fox's hit TV show last fall. With the album's lead single "Power of a Love Song," which goes for radio adds on March 11, Stevens is poised to take the Country music scene by storm.
“For someone that has dreamt of recording and releasing music for over a decade, to say I’m excited is an understatement,” he says. "I feel like the songs we selected for the album are a real reflection of my personality—they range from fun-loving to serious and everything in between. I’m so proud of this album and can’t wait for the fans to hear it! ”
Produced by Blake Chancey, his debut will feature three co-writes from Ashley Gorley, Joe Diffie, Wade Kirby, Phil O’Donnell, Shane Minor and David Lee Murphy. “Writing with some of the best writers in town, this is truly amazing and I'm blessed," he tells Fox News.
"This studio has so much history," he explains of the RCA Studio in which he recorded the release. "So many great records have come out of this place and I just hope, you know, they spread a little love on me and on this album.”
"Since winning The X Factor, we've listened to hundreds of songs and set a ton of writing appointments with some of Nashville’s best songwriters,” says Stevens. "The outcome is a collection of eleven songs I'm really proud of, and I can't wait to get this record out there!"
