"X Factor" USA continued the 4 chair challenge on October 3, 2013 and Demi Lovato faced the task of choosing which 4 acts from the girls category she would advance to live shows. Demi actually started the 4 chair challenge last night, choosing all 4 acts who auditioned. Bree Randall, Khaya Cohen, Jamie Pineda and Ashly Williams held the 4 seats.

Although Demi had already seated these 4 girls they were not guaranteed a spot on "X Factor" live programming. Any or all could be eliminated and their seat taken by another act that Demi felt had more potential.

Here are the results for "X Factor" USA's 4 chair challenge for the "girls" category.

Simone Torres sang first. The "X Factor" judges were not impressed. Simon Cowell thought her performance was a little too much like Karaoke but Demi Lovato didn't agree. Demi couldn't let Simone go so she gave her a seat and sent Bree Randall home.

Danielle Geimer was up next. She gave a beautiful rendition of "Georgia on my Mind" which blew Demi Lovato away. Danielle took a seat and Demi sent Simone Torres packing.

Rylie Brown wasn't as lucky. A poor song choice can make or break any audition and this song was not the right one for Rylie. Demi Lovato didn't feel Rylie was "vocally ready" for "X Factor" and sent the girl home.

Primrose Martin didn't have a chance. Too much dancing and not enough vocal control pretty much sealed the deal. Simon Cowell was harsh, "That was dreadful. Seriously awful...the longest minute and a half of my life," and Demi Lovato seemed disgusted as well telling Primrose, "You're too confident and it kind of rubs me the wrong way." Demi sent Primrose home and the "X Factor" audience cheered.

Rion Paige at 13 years old is the youngest in the "X Factor" girls category but despite her young age she blew up the stage with her rendition of "I'll Stand by You". Demi Lovato pretty much had to put her in a chair after that performance. And she did. Demi sent Ashly Williams home.

Last to audition for the "X Factor" 4 chair challenge was Ellona Santiago. This girl is really, really good but for some reason Demi Lovato felt something was missing. Demi didn't think that Ellona had "the star quality" just yet. I suppose she saw "star quality" potential because Demi gave Ellona a seat and sent Jamie Pineda packing.

So, the results are in. The 4 acts that Demi Lovato chose to fill the "X Factor" 4 chair challenge for the "girls" category are:

Danielle Geimer

Khaya Cohen

Rion Paige

Ellona Santiago

Eliminated from "X Factor" USA on October 3, 2013:

Bree Randall

Simone Torres

Rylie Brown

Primrose Martin

Ashly Williams

Jamie Pineda

Wednesday night, October 9 "X Factor" USA's 4 chair challenge will continue with the "groups" category, mentored by Simon Cowell and the "boys" category, mentored by Paulina Rubio.
