Thumbs up to Senator Cale Case, he has introduced legislation to fix the conceal-carry blunder from earlier this year. SF 26 - Eligibility concealed weapons permit, will fix what Freuedenthal's appointee decided was a problem.
Ultimately, WyGO / Wyoming Gun Owners supports legislation that lets anyone with a permit from any state carry in Wyoming. If an individual has a concealed carry permit from their own state, no matter what we interpret from their state law, who are we to say they cannot carry in Wyoming? Even if that state doesn't reciprocate, we must lead by example.
Also, can we say we should be able to carry anywhere in the country only to restrict others visiting here? Certainly not.
While I believe we should be taking a harder stance, Senator Case is taking a good run in the right direction and we fully support the passing of this legislation in its current form.
In addition we will be watching closely for legislators that recommend changes to this legislation, and we will EXPOSE those with intentions to alter or move this legislation away from our position.
Contact your legislators and ask them to support SF 26 “Eligibility concealed weapons permit”, in its entirety.

Though i can see the importance of this fix, I cannot support , unreturned reciprocy, if a state such as Massachusetts denys our cirizens the right to carry, which according to what i have found is the case, then we are under no obligation to honor their permits since they do not honor ours, remember the word reciprocy, if a state doesnt recognize our rights or permits , they should not expect theirs to be recognized either. To do so unilaterally is basically relegating our citizens rights negotiable and also admitting our Citizens to second class citizenship status, unless a state recognized our rights and permits , only then should we recognize theirs , that sir is reciprocy .
who are we to deny them that right? the ones they deny that right to as well, unless its true reciprocy i will not support this supposed fix, only states that recognize our rights and permits should have a reciprical agreement with our state, anything else is making our rights null and void if we choose to visit said states, yet we are to recognize theirs, sorry , no deal.
So, "Mark MC(Star Valley)", I believe you need to read the article over because this legislation doesn't support full reciprocity and I only stated that I support such. but since you brought it up, I guess you don't believe in the "Second Amendment" as it was written. It's OK with to cherry pick individuals that want to exercise their rights because it is an inconvenience to you. Sorry, this attitude is what has got us to where we are right now in this country. Again we need to lead by example.
BTW - Nebraska allows Wyoming permits but Wyoming doesn't reciprocate back, why don't you call the Governor of Nebraska and tell him to take (us) Wyoming off the list? As far as I'm concerned one shouldn't need a permit to carry anywhere in this country, and lightening up on "selfish" reciprocity is a step in this direction. What really matters here is where you believe you get your rights, from the State? or as the Founders believed? See: The Declaration of Independence.
The worst part of all this is, any right to carry permit is an infringement of the 2nd Amendment. Period! Argue all you want about all your silly little rules and permits, THEY ARE ALL ILLEGAL! So why not stand up for the original permit, the right to keep and bear arms, WITHOUT infringements. You people will legislate yourselves to death before you even stand up for what is both real and right. Molon Labe and Semper Fidelis, my friends.
Anthony, you can call it selfish reciprocy because that is exactly what it is , you bring up Nebraska as recognizing our state permits, but our state not recognizing theirs, that sir in my opinion is just as wrong as this state recognizing a state that refuses to recognize ours, i am no fan of the "permit system" and personally if a state sees fit to issue a permit to any one of its citizens, regardless of what this state says is a disqualifying crime ,are we not judging someone on a crime not even committed in this states jurisdiction? why fix a bad law with a bad fix , why not do the right fix to begin with, you can say that is counter to the 2nd , and the I say , that it is fair play, you restrict our citizens right by removing them, expect the same treatment in return. maybe then after they feel the sting they may want to talk reciprical rights.I agree with you that full reciprocy should be the law of the landif a state recognizes ours we recognize theirs, if they dont, we dont.
and to clarify , not a fan of the permit system, i follow wyo marines view, my permit to carry comes from natural unalienable law , the 2nd is merely a codification of that natural law.
