WYCO ranks 27th

Bureau of Labor Statistics has ranked Wyandotte County, Kansas as 27th in the nation for job growth statistics according to a recent press release.

WYCO improved 3.6 percent from June 2011 to June 2012. The national job growth rate is currently 1.8 percent.

"The 3.6 percent jump in job growth means 85,400 people now work in Wyandotte County," stated a recent press release. "That job growth is reflected in the most recent unemployment numbers as well."

Other significant areas in the state such as Johnson County and Wichita ranked lower with Clay County, Missouri declining by 2 percent.
