WWE 'WrestleMania XXX': Did Brock Lesnar go off script in defeating Undertaker?

The world was in absolute shock on the evening of Sunday, April 6, 2014, when the Undertaker lost to Brock Lesnar at WWE "WrestleMania XXX." It was made official that "the streak" had come to an end, and the live crowd knew it, but they didn't want to believe it. Rumors are swirling now though, and some believe that wasn't how it was supposed to go.

Was the Undertaker meant to lose?

When the referee's hand went down for the three-count, the Superdome sat stunned. All of us in the press box looked around and many even asked loudly, "Was that a mistake? Are they restarting the match?"

Then, Brock Lesnar was announced as the winner of the match and the "21-1" graphic flashed all around the place.

It has been reported that Undertaker suffered a concussion or neck injury early on in the match, but continued to fight. He was taken to a local New Orleans hospital after it was over and was expected to remain hospitalized overnight.

Some rumors are swirling that Lesnar went off script and forced a win in the match, but he wasn't supposed to get it. According to inside sources and word that was spread backstage at the arena, the match went exactly as planned.

Not even Undertaker's injury was said to change the outcome.

It certainly appears and the backstage feeling is that "WrestleMania XXX" was the final match for the Undertaker, and that he's done. If this is true, this could squash any rumors about a match next year against Sting.

As one unnamed WWE executive told me about the Undertaker after the match was over, "It was a great run."
