The WWE is working on their plans for Wrestlemania 30 and there is a strong rumor right now that they might back a push to bring back Goldberg. According to PWS on Oct. 19, the match they are considering is Ryback vs. Goldberg.
The former WCW star came to the WWE to start feuding with The Rock, but he only signed a short-term contract. His final match in the WWE was against Brock Lesnar in the match that ended up as both men's final appearances in the WWE at Wrestlemania XX.
The fans who knew that both men were leaving the company after the match booed both wrestlers through the entire match and it ended with Stone Cold Steve Austin hitting a stunner on both men to make fans happy.
However, at the height of his popularity, Goldberg was the most popular star in WCW. The WWE just released a DVD of Goldberg's best matches and the announcers actually mentioned him during Ryback's match on "WWE Monday Night Raw."
Fans have been chanting Goldberg's name during Ryback's matches for a long time now and the announcers finally acknowledged the fact this week for the first time. WWE rumors are that Vince McMahon told them to acknowledge it and might be testing the waters for a match between the two men for Wrestlemania 30.
