In the latest of the WWE WrestleMania 29 matches and rumors, The Undertaker made his anticipated return to Monday's "Old School" episode of Raw. Taker had been missing from the pro wrestling world for months, last seen during the 1,000th episode of Raw. However, his appearance on Monday night signaled that he was back to defend his legendary WrestleMania streak.
According to a WWE.com report on March 4, CM Punk will the man attempting to end Undertaker's streak which currently sits at 20-0 all-time. Punk won a Fatal 4-Way match on Raw in which he defeated Randy Orton, Sheamus and Big Show, to earn the right to face Taker at the upcoming Pay-Per-View. Punk had stated during the start of Raw that he originally didn't want any part of Mania after losing his chance to face Rock for the WWE championship. However, seeing Undertaker show up, Punk said he now had an agenda, to take away Taker's coveted streak from the fans.
Punk and Taker have feuded before, with championships on the line, but never at WrestleMania. This will mark the first time the two meet during the WWE's biggest Pay-Per-View of the year. In previous episodes of Mania, Taker defeated Shawn Michaels twice and then Triple H twice, forcing Michaels into retirement. Other opponents that have fallen victim to "The Streak" over the years including Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka, Randy Orton, Big Show, and Undertaker's brother, Kane.
WrestleMania 29 is scheduled for April 7 live on Pay-Per-View with a likely start time of 6 p.m. EST. Roanoke viewers will be able to watch on cable, satellite, or at the local Hooters restaurant, which normally shows most WWE Pay-Per-View events.
