Several Roanoke, Virginia fans have given their Wrestlemania 27 predictions for the matches. Before getting to that, let's start with some of the Wrestlemania 27 spoilers that have recently been unveiled for other planned matches.
Stone Cold Steve Austin will be the special referee for the Cole vs Lawler match. That announcement is likely to happen on the Monday Night Raw for 3/7/11. A potential spoiler for this one will see Lawler not only beating Cole, but Cole and Swagger both falling victim to the "Stone Cold Stunner."
Other matches revealed recently include The Big Show teaming with Kane, Kofi Kingston and Christian to take on The Corre in an 8-man tag team match. John Morrison will team up with two lovely divas, Kelly Kelly and Trish Stratus, to take on Team LayCool and Dolph Ziggler. Also, Daniel Bryan will face Sheamus in the ring. Bryan will have Gail Kim in his corner, while Sheamus will have The Bella Twins. There is also likely to be a divas match of some sort, possibly involving the championship.
That gives several new matches added to the already strong card revealed on WWE's TV shows. Several Roanoke, VA fans were asked who they thought would win in the known contests. Here's some of the feedback gathered.
Sharon said of her picks for the WWE Wrestlemania 27 matches, "This is what I would like to see. Cena, Edge and Orton will win. Taker will take it hands down. Lawler hopefully will beat the crap out of Cole. He deserves it and I can't stand Cole."
John, also from Roanoke area, said his picks would be "Cena, Edge, Orton, Lawler and a draw." That draw would be for the highly-anticipated match between Triple H and The Undertaker with Taker's streak on the line. He said "They're really evenly matched, so I really want to see that match."
Wrestlemania 27 matches are scheduled to go down for the Pay-Per-View event on Sunday, April 3, 2011 starting at 7PM EST. The event can be seen on Cox cable, DISH, DirecTV and online via WWE.com's live feed service.
