The streak is alive! The Undertaker defeated CM Punk tonight at the sold-out MetLife Stadium on the WWE Wrestlemania 29 pay per view. The 80,000 plus in attendance were loud, electric, and captivated as 'Taker was taken to the limit by the Straight Edge superstar in a match that lit up Twitter and Facebook with fans instantly raving that it was going to be the best match on this year's Wrestlemania.
CM Punk made his entrance with a live performance of "Cult of Personality" by Living Colour. With his associate Paul Heyman at his side and the Undertaker's urn in his possession.
The Undertaker made a spine-chilling entrance with from a fog in soft blue light with the hands of what looked like the walking dead reaching up at his draping leather cloak. The image was striking and set the tone that the Deadman was out to settle the score with the man who insulted his late friend Paul Bearer.
The match itself got off to a fiery start with Punk insulting the most respected man in the business the Undertaker with not one but two open handed slaps to the face. The match saw Punk continue to play mind games using some of 'Taker's own signature maneuvers to attack him. Punk landed a flying elbow drop on Undertaker who was laying prone on a ringside table, only for the table not to give way.
As the match entered the closing minutes with the crowd on their feet, Punk kicked out of a Tombstone Piledriver, slamed Undertaker with the urn, but the Phenom would not relent when he landed a second Tombstone Piledriver that was all she wrote. The Undertaker pinned CM Punk to push his Wrestlemania undefeated streak to 21-0.
