WWE power couple Triple H and Stephanie McMahon appeared on the WWE Network last night during special live coverage leading up to Sunday's Wrestlemania XXX in New Orleans, to show off the glitzy stage set up inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. You can see the big reveal in the official video posted above this article. Spoiler alert! If you want to wait to see the set for the first time when WM30 goes live tomorrow, do not watch this video.
In the video, McMahon brags about having the "distinct pleasure" of being able to witness the first Wrestlemania as a little girl in Madison Square Garden. Triple H touts the WWE's brnading of "Then. Now. Forever" as they reveal the set with the "Celebrate" theme song by pop rocker Kid Rock.
The gigantic set plays of the NOLA 'fleur-de-lis' symbol with a humongous electronic 'Wrestlemania' sign hanging over the entrance way with three crossing X's. The set which took almost two weeks to construct is illuminated in a vivid color scheme of violet and gold.
WWE has taken over the Big Easy this week with dozens of events including a fan convention, charity events, and tonight's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. The company will present Wresltemania XXX live on pay-per-view tomorrow starting at 6pm C.
Pro Wrestling Examiner's Perspective: This set once again shows how much time, money, and energy WWE puts into presented it's biggest show as something that is truly big and special in a memorable way. This video is pretty low-key compared to last year's Wrestlemania set reveal with Vince McMahon going into full Barnum showman mode, showing off the mock New York landmarks constructed inside MetLife Stadium.
