Last night WWE ended a monumental episode of RAW with the the return of Hulk Hogan and the launch of the WWE Network, by having the Undertaker emerge from another hiatus to accept a braggadocios challenge from UFC monster Brock Lesnar.
The scene saw Lesnar's associate Paul Heyman give a ego-maniacal diatribe against the WWE for not giving Lesnar his requested WWE Championship title shot at Wrestlemania, and giving him the "consolation prize" of an open contract for the big show on April 6th at the Superdome in New Orleans.
The Undertaker's ominous bell chimed through the sold-out arena in Green Bay, Wisconsin and he came silent but with a chilling glare that said a thousand words. Undertaker started down Lesnar, the former UFC Heavyweight Champ signed the contract. Crossing the line, Lesnar prodded a pen into the 'Taker's chest which prompted the Deadman to slam the pen into Lesnar's catcher's mitt like hand and choke slam him through the contract signing table.
It was an explosive end to RAW and sets the stage for a showdown at Wresltemania 30.The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar has been rumored for months now, and now is cemented into the card. Lesanr and Heyman's promo last night kept hammering the phrase "conquering history" and what is more historic than the Phenom's undefeated 21-0 Wrestlemania streak.
Pro Wrestling Examiner's Perspective: The story is simple, the stars involved are huge, and the stage fits. Win or lose, expect Lesnar to perform here the only way he knows how: 110% and recklesss. That reckless factor with the beastly Lesnar is a legitimate threat to Undertaker's aged frame which has endured numerous serious injuries.
