As is the case with most sports, injuries are a common downfall to many wrestlers. WWE stars are definitely not excluded from this, as news broke late Thursday evening that Tyson Kidd will miss up to a year due a fractured knee and torn ACL.
Details are are still rather sketchy about how and when everything happened, it is known to have taken place on WWE's recent holiday live event tour. PWInsider also reports that after Kidd suffered the injury, he apparently had a match the following night, before being fully examined and getting the news.
Kidd was mentioned during this past Monday's verbal tirade by WWE Champion CM Punk, as the champion referred to him as a "workhorse" and included his name along with several other names such as Daniel Bryan and Brodus Clay.
He has been with WWE since 2006, and has been a part of the main roster since February 2009 when debuted for the ECW brand.
Not exactly how he planned to kick off 2013, but early reports state that he could be ready by the 2014 Royal Rumble depending on how his rehab goes.
