WWE superstar Bray Wyatt suffered an injury at a non-televised house show on Saturday night and left the building on crutches. According to PWS on Oct. 13, Wyatt injured his leg in a six man tag team match.
The show took place in Rhode Island and Bray was teaming up with Wyatt Family teammates Erick Rowan and Luke Harper to battle The Prime Time Players and R-Truth. The injury occurred when Bray was chasing Darren Young around the outside of the ring and slipped his leg on part of the ringside barricade that was sticking out too far.
This led to a quick finish when the referee held up the “X” symbol with their arms, indicating a real injury occurred in the match.
Some fans who were at the event could see backstage to the “Gorilla position,” which is where the producers stand and prepare the wrestlers to come and go. They said that Harper and Rowan carried Wyatt back to the “Gorilla position” and then laid him on the ground where doctors started working on him.
A photograph surfaced online that saw Bray Wyatt leaving the arena on crutches.
This could hurt Bray Wyatt’s in-ring push, but it probably won’t keep him off television as he can continue to be the spokesman and let his partners do all the work until he is ready to return.
