WWE main event superstar Daniel Bryan suffered a concussion on Monday in the ring on 'RAW'. The injury was confirmed through WWE sources to Sescoops and other wrestling media outlets, but the company has not officially announced it. Bryan suffered the concussion early in the Steel Cage Tag Team match yet he continued through the rest of the match.
Daniel Bryan had a very memorable post-match brawl last night at the end of 'RAW' with his former cult leader Bray Wyatt. Bryan had been a member of the Wyatt Family for the past couple weeks, feeling he had been worn down "by the machine" of the WWE and would not be able to get ahead without their help. This did not deter the very vocal WWE fans that have been clamoring to see Bryan go back his "YES!" chanting ways ever since this character change, so last night's return to his burgundy ring gear was met with a sense of triumphant joy.
The show closing moment of Daniel Bryan chanting and celebrating on top of a 15 foot high steel cage with an arena pumping their hands in unison was a special moment, one that Bryan himself recognized on Twitter.
I sit humbled and in awe of peoples reaction to last night. I can’t bring down the machine on my own, but we can do it together #YesMovement - @WWEDanielBryan
The timing of the this concussion is discouraging for Bryan's 'Yes movement' as WWE gears up for the road to Wrestlemania with the Royal Rumble onn Sunday January 26th. There is no indication as to how long Bryan will be out of action but he did not perform at tonight's WWE Smackdown taping earlier tonight in Worchester, Massachusetts.
