The entire situation with Dusty Rhodes getting knocked out on "WWE Monday Night Raw" left a bad taste in the mouth, but it looks like the angle is heading somewhere. Rajah reported on Sept. 17 that the Rhodes family may be teaming together.
It looked for awhile like Big Show and Mark Henry would get a tag team title show against The Shield while Dolph Ziggler would get a U.S. title shot against Dean Ambrose. It looked like the WWE was taking the belts off The Shield, preparing to de-push them slightly.
However, they have been doing so well in the Daniel Bryan angle that it looks like they received a pardon.
While Ziggler did just win a U.S. title shot against Ambrose, the WWE rumors indicate that their title match will not be at "Battleground." Instead, it looks like the WWE is heading towards a six-man match where The Shield battles The Rhodes Dynasty, of Dusty Rhodes, Cody Rhodes and Goldust at "Battleground."
The stipulations look like they will see Cody and/or Dustin both get their jobs back if they win the match. Of course, Triple H fired Cody Rhodes a few weeks back when he failed to beat Randy Orton after speaking out against Triple H. Goldust came back to fight for his brother's job, only to lose and have Stephanie McMahon humiliate him. Then, this week, Stephanie ordered Big Show to knock out Dusty Rhodes on "Raw."
