The plans for the WWE spoilers this month was to have the men that crossed Triple H get shots at titles at the "Night of Champions" pay-per-view. According to PWS on Sept. 3, the plans for the tag team title match has changed.
Originally, Dean Ambrose was supposed to defend his U.S. title against Dolph Ziggler and the team of Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins were supposed to defend their tag belts against Mark Henry and The Big Show.
The tag title match was foreshadowed a few weeks back when Big Show said in an interview that he and Mark Henry were going to team up to take down The Shield. However, nothing much happened after that, and then Henry suffered an injury last weekend at a house show.
With the tag team title threat forgotten, the WWE has moved into a humiliation storyline with Big Show where Stephanie McMahon is humbling the giant and Triple H is bullying the big man. This will probably lead to a Big Show vs. Triple H match down the line, but for "Night of Champions," his tag title match is cancelled.
Dolph Ziggler will probably still get his shot at Dean Ambrose after Ambrose beat him down on "Raw." However, the tag team title match is now rumored to be The Shield vs. The Prime Time Players.
Immediately after Darren Young publicly came out of the closet, the Prime Time Players started getting pushed and they have not lose since that moment, making them the clear number one contenders heading into "Night of Champions."
