WWE SmackDown spoilers for March 15; Swagger versus Jericho in main event

On Tuesday, the WWE taped an episode of SmackDown live from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This taped episode will air on Friday, March 15 at 8pm EST on the SyFy channel. According to a March 12 report by WrestlingInc.com, SmackDown opened with a tag-team contest featuring team Rhodes Scholars versus Randy Orton and Sheamus.

Orton and Sheamus quickly dispatched of Rhodes Scholars as Orton hit Cody Rhodes with the RKO for the pin. After the match, The Shield came out and challenged Orton and Sheamus to a match at WM 29. However, Sheamus and Orton must find a partner for a 6-man tag match. Later in the evening, Big Show comes up to Orton and Sheamus and says that he wants to be their partner. But, the duo says that they already picked Ryback.

In the second bout of the night, The Miz defeated Darren Young with the figure-four leg lock. Wade Barrett was doing commentary.

Dolph Ziggler defeated Kane via pin fall after hitting the zig zag. Daniel Bryan was fighting with Big E outside the ring which distracted Kane. Big E. Langston attacked Kane after the match. This angle is heating up as the WWE will most likely have the 4 men compete against each other at WM 29.

Fandango was set to wrestle The Great Khali but did his usual pre-match rant and decided not to come out for his match after Khali couldn't properly pronounce his name.

The Shield attacked Sheamus and Orton in the back right after Booker T made their match at WM 29 official. This wasn't the last we would see of the heel trio.

Mark Henry was scheduled to take on Ryback but The Shield came out and attacked Ryback twice. After they laid out Ryback, Henry came in and gave Ryback at least 3 world's strongest slams. He then welcomed Ryback to the "Hall of Pain".

In the main event of the night, Jack Swagger took on Chris Jericho in what's being hailed as a good match. Surprisingly, Swagger won the match via pinfall after hitting his gutwrench powerbomb. The show closes with Swagger and his manager Zeb Colter posing.
