Before the television tapings started, there was one dark match that won't make it to the "Smackdown" TV show. In that match Tyson Kidd made his WWE return to beat NXT Champion Bo Dallas.
The actual show started with Big Show forced to give a public apology for his actions on "WWE Monday Night Raw" where he refused to knock out Daniel Bryan. After he was finished, Triple H suspended him for the night without pay and then The Shield ran in and beat him down.
The first match was a Diva's match where Aksana, Layla nad Alicia Fox wrestled Naomi, Natalya and Brie Bella again. This one ended in a no contest when AJ Lee ran in and attacked.
Next up was a dance off, which Miz won over Khali, R-Truth and Fandango.
Santino Marella wrestled Damien Sandow in the next match and won. After that, Michael Cole interviewed Paul Heyman about "Night of Champions" and CM Punk.
Alberto Del Rio beat Ricardo Rodriguez in the next match. When Del Rio refused to release the cross arm breaker, Rob Van Dam ran in for the save.
The main event saw Dean Ambrose battle Dolph Ziggler, The Shield attacked Ziggler to cause the DQ and the Usos ran in for the save. Vickie Guerrero ordered a six-man match, which The Shield won.
The end of the show saw Edge return for another Cutting Edge. His guests were Randy Orton and Daniel Bryan. Edge called Orton a sell out, Orton said Edge was jealous because he is a 10-time champion, and then Edge reminded him that he won it 11 times. It ended with Edge leaving the ring, Daniel Bryan attacking Randy Orton and locking him in the Yes Lock until Orton tapped out. Bryan stood tall to end the show.
"WWE Smackdown" airs on Friday nights at 8 p.m. EST on SyFy.
