The WWE pre-taped their weekly "WWE Smackdown" television program on March 19. Here is a look at the spoilers and results from the WWE television taping.
With Wrestlemania growing nearer, it is time to start to tie together the matches for the biggest WWE card of the year. "Smackdown" started out with an episode of Miz TV and the news on the big six man match involving The Shield. Miz brought out Sheamus and Randy Orton to ask who their partner would be. Big Show comes out to plead his case, but no one trusts him. Booker T finally puts them in a six-man match later in the show.
Mark Henry squashed Zack Ryder in the next match. He hit continued World's Strongest Slams on Ryder until Ryback came out. They had a stare down, but Ryback hit a clothesline and Henry walked away.
Dolph Ziggler came out next for a match against Kofi Kingston and won a good match. After the win, Big E Langston came in and attacked Kofi.
Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger came out and cut a promo before Swagger's rematch with Chris Jericho. Swagger won the rematch when Fandango distracted Jericho and then interfered in the match to give Swagger the win. After the match, Fandango hit a big leg drop from the lip rope, said his name, and left.
Team Rhodes Scholars fought Tensai and Brodus Clay to a no-contest when the Bella Twins got into a fight with the Funkadactals.
The Miz fought U.S. Champion Antonio Cesaro next and got the win with the figure four. Miz kept Cesaro locked in the figure four and begged Wade Barrett to get in the ring, but Barrett just walked off.
In the main event, Sheamus, Randy Orton and Big Show beat 3MB. The end came when Big Show hit the KO punch but Sheamus tagged himself in and hit the Brogue kick. When it looked like they were going to get into it, The Shield came out, but the three men in the ring banded together and The Shield retreated.
"WWE Smackdown" airs on Friday nights at 8 p.m. EST on SyFy.
