The WWE pre-taped their weekly "Smackdown" television program on Jan. 29 and it featured the world champion fighting the Money in the Bank briefcase holder in a non-title main event match. Here is what went down on the tapings for this week's show.
The show opened with six wrestlers in the ring with Booker T, who was talking about the Elimination Chamber. Those men include Sheamus, Kane, Great Khali, Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler. However, former World Champion Jack Swagger made his return and said he wanted in the match. Dolph said he didn't want to fight in it since he already had his briefcase for a title shot.
Booker T booked Dolph to fight world champion Alberto Del Rio in the main event in a non-title match.
The first match on the card saw Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara make their return to the WWE and they actually beat the world tag team champions in the non-title match. Kane and Daniel Bryan continue to argue.
Great Khali beat Jinder Mahal.
In the next match, Sheamus fought Damien Sandow but the match ended when The Shield ran in and attacked the Irishman. They left him laid out in the ring and no one came out to help Sheamus.
In the next match, Randy Orton beat Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett in a non-title match. After the match ended, Barrett found Bo Dallas and beat him up.
When Big Show arrived at the arena, Alberto Del Rio attacked him in retribution for the assault on Ricardo Rodriguez from "WWE Monday Night Raw." Del Rio beat up Big Show with a stick, and Show ended up escaping.
In the main event, Del Rio beat Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match by submission, meaning three different champions lost on this week's "Smackdown" episode. After the match, Big Show appeared on the TitanTron with Rodriguez and the knocked him out to end the show.
