The WWE pre-taped their "WWE Smackdown" show on Feb. 19 and the big feud between world champion Alberto Del Rio and Jack Swagger finally got underway. Here is a look at what went down at the television tapings.
Alberto Del Rio kicks off the show and talks about Jack Swagger. He mentioned that America was built by hard working immigrants. He then called out Swagger, but Randy Orton came out instead. Orton said that he wanted Swagger tonight and asked Del Rio to step aside so he could fight him tonight. This brought out Booker T, who scheduled Del Rio to fight IC Champ Wade Barrett tonight and gave Orton the Swagger match.
Sheamus fought Damien Sandow in the first match on the card and won with the Brogue kick.
Kaitlyn and Layla won a Diva's tag team match over Tamina Snuka and Aksana.
Next up was the Jack Swagger vs. Randy Orton match. Orton said he was looking for revenge for Swagger taking away his Wrestlemania main event spot. The two fought a nice match, with Swagger continuing to look a lot better than he did last time he was in the WWE. Swagger won after Zeb distracted Orton.
Next up, The Miz beat Cody Rhodes.
In the main event, Alberto Del Rio fought Wade Barrett in a champion vs. champion match. Jack Swagger and Zeb came out and watched from the entrance. The match was long and hard fought and Del Rio ended up winning with the cross arm breaker. The show ended with Del Rio and Swagger jawing back and forth.
