WWE Smackdown results: Sheamus defeats Batista by disqualification

According to a March 25 report from Wrestlezone, Sheamus defeated Batista by disqualification on the WWE Smackdown episode that airs this Friday night.

Sheamus def. Batista

Batista left the ring to go grab a steel chair to beat Sheamus with, and that resulted in a disqualification.

Batista's loss comes as a bit of a surprise, being that he's competing in the Wrestlemania XXX main event just two weeks from now.

WWE Universe expects Batista to win early and often in the days and weeks ahead, to hype his upcoming Wrestlemania bout against Randy Orton.

Unfortunately, it didn't quite go down like that for Batista this week at WWE Smackdown.

Sin Cara def. Damien Sandow

In other matters, Sin Cara defeated Damien Sandow in a quick match that didn't quite earn the fans' admiration.

Sandow was a "Money in the Bank" winner just a short time ago, and it seems his stock has plummeted further than ever before. Sandow is now jobbing to Sin Cara, so that doesn't bode well for his WWE career.

Luckily, WWE Universe was treated to an exciting co-main that featured Fandango and Goldust.

Fandango had been on a tough losing streak for the past few weeks, but he got back to winning ways by tapping out Goldust on this week's WWE Smackdown.

The Shield takes down Ryback and Curtis Axel

Also on the WWE Smackdown card, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose of The Shield defeated Ryback and Curtis Axel.

Rollins and Ambrose also took out Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre earlier in the evening.

This week's WWE Smackdown card also featured The Bellas vs. AJ Lee and Tamina, plus a bout between Jack Swagger and Jimmy Uso. Last but not least, Mark Henry took on The Miz
