The WWE pre-recorded "WWE Smackdown" on March 5 and The Shield made their presence known by attacking some of the biggest stars on the show. Here is a look at the results of the "Smackdown" television tapings.
The show opened with Zeb Colter and Jack Swagger in the ring. They cut a promo explaining that they believed what a lot of people in America believed. Alberto Del Rio interrupted the promo and showed a video of Ricardo Rodriguez making fun of the "We the People" promo videos.
In the first match on the card, Team Hell No beat 3MB. After the match, there were two backstage promos, one with Dolph Ziggler promising to make history and the second with Mark Henry and Ryback having another stare down.
Ryback then came out and beat Damien Sandow in a match. In the back, Big Show blamed Sheamus and Randy Orton for what happened on Monday night with The Shield.
Up next, world champion Alberto Del Rio once again beat Dolph Ziggler in a non-title match. It makes it look really bad for the Money in the Bank briefcase holder to lose every time he fights the champion.
In the next match, Mark Henry squashed Yoshi Tatsu. Tamina Snuka then beat Diva's champion Kaitlyn in a non-title match. Next up, Fandango again refused to wrestle because the ring announcer couldn't pronounce his name right.
In the main event, Sheamus took on The Big Show. The match ended in a no-contest when The Shield attacked both men. Randy Orton ran down for the save and soon they cleared The Shield out of the ring. Big Show them knocked out Sheamus and Randy Orton hit the RKO on Big Show to end the show.
It looks like they are heading to a six-man match at Wrestlemania with Big Show, Sheamus and Randy Orton taking on The Shield.
"WWE Smackdown" airs at 8 p.m. EST Friday nights on SyFy.
