It appears that the public lobbying by Goldust has improved the chances of seeing a brotherly match between Goldust and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 28 on April 1st. The two brothers are sons of legendary wrestler Dusty Rhodes. Over the last few months Goldust has taken to twitter to ask the WWE fans to get behind on this. On Wednesday January 11th, Goldust confirmed that the WWE is seriously considering this match at Mania and he also made the following comments about Cody via his Twitter page:
"Ok we need to all get behind the goldy vs cody match at wm28........it really must happen. Goldy vs cody wm28.....stipulation....his pretty face vs my experience.....bragging rights.....ill beat him everytime mr. Clean your face."
Right now, the WWE does not have any long term feuds lined up for Cody Rhodes. They have teased a few encounters between Cody and Goldust over the last few weeks. Cody has just completed a run with Booker T, who was also a former tag-team partner with Goldust.
WrestleMania 28 is already filling up fast with other matches. If done right, a match between these two brothers can add some excitement in the early part of the PPV.
