WWE mega-star John Cena has been making the media rounds today to promote WWE's partnership with Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer charities and the Hell in a Cell pay per view on October 27th, but the former World Champion made sports headlines when he dissed Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.
Cena was asked if he was an NFL franchise owner would he keep the much-maligned Romo as his QB, and his response was inflammatory going so far as to say he wanted a "champion", and not a "star" like Romo. Cena ended his statement, stating clearly he was "pass" on having Romo on his team. You can watch the entire segment in the video posted above.
Romo has not made a public response to the comments. The Cowboys have an away game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday night.
John Cean returns to the ring on WWE Hell in a Cell live on Pay Per View on Sunday October 27th after a two month break due to a torn tricep.
