WWE's big plan for The Rock vs. John Cena goes beyond Wrestlemania 28

F4Wonline.com is reporting today through sources within WWE, that the company is looking to make a 'trilogy' out of the hotly antcipated mega main event between  Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson and John Cena. Tenative plans have the two superstars facing off in a best of three series allowing one of the stars to lose at Wrestlemania 28 in Miami and get their win back in one of two rematches. The follow up matches are expected to occur after Wrestlemania with the final match set for Summerslam 2012 in Los Angeles.

WWE is looking to exploit the mainstream attention that Rock brings to the table as he faces off with the bigges modern name in pro wrestling. Extending this program beyond a one-night only 'dream match' scenario  is being seen by observers as a move to garner more long term advertisers and promotional partnerships after the height of Wrestlemania season.

Wrestling fans across have been looking forward to this epic encounter since this past April when the Rock hosted Wrestlemania 27 in Atlanta, and cost Cena the WWE Championship. The following night on RAW, the match was made for Wrestlemania 28 in Miami at Sun Life Stadium.

The Rock is already set to appear at Survivor Series in New York City, where he will likely to reignite the fued with Cena and officially begin the build to WM28. In New York City, the Rock is being advertised for his "return to the ring" at the Madison Square Garden event which airs on Pay Per View on November 20th.
