Shawn Michaels has generally said that he will not return to the WWE for "one last match" and that his retirement match against The Undertaker was the final match of his career. However, prowrestling.com reported on Dec. 18 that the WWE has left a return up to Michaels if he wants to come back for "Wrestlemania 30."
The rumblings started at the "Hell in a Cell" pay-per-view, where HBK super kicked Daniel Bryan and allowed Randy Orton to pin him to win the WWE Championship. The next night on "WWE Monday Night Raw," Bryan attacked Shawn and locked him in the Yes Lock until officials forced him to break the hold.
HBK and Bryan had another confrontation at the Slammy Awards when Shawn had to present Bryan with the Superstar of the Year award. The next week on "WWE Monday Night Raw," HBK came out with a number of former WWE and world champions and ended up in a fight, which saw him super kick CM Punk and get the high knee strike from Bryan. Finally, this week on "WWE Monday Night Raw," Michaels came out and interrupted a CM Punk promo to set up a match with Punk and The Shield.
With all that said, it looked as if the WWE might want Degeneration X to battle Daniel Bryan and CM Punk at "Wrestlemania 30," but new WWE rumors indicate that is not the case. The word is that, if Shawn agrees to come back for another match, the WWE wants Shawn Michaels vs. Daniel Bryan in a singles match at "Wrestlemania 30."
The word from the WWE is that it is completely up to Shawn Michaels at this point, but even if he does not return for another match, he will probably continue to appear on "WWE Monday Night Raw" heading into "Wrestlemania 30" anyway.
