WWE rumors: The Undertaker ready to return for Wrestlemania match

Fans in Texas on Saturday night were treated to an unannounced surprise when the WWE event featured the return to the ring of The Undertaker. According to PWInsider on Feb. 25, the return was a test run for the WWE to see how Undertaker could hold up in a match.

The entire setup was a surprise as Sheamus needed a tag team partner to fight the team of Wade Barrett and Damien Sandow. Suddenly, the lights went down and the gong began to toll and The Undertaker made his way out to team with Sheamus.

According to reports, Undertaker no-sold most of the offense against him and never went to the mat. The word now is that the WWE wanted to see him in the ring to determine whether he was ready to come back for Wrestlemania 29. The Undertaker met with WWE officials last week in Nashville and talked about the chance of returning and this was his test run.

If the WWE liked what they saw, they might be ready to bring him out tonight on "WWE Monday Night Raw," which takes place in Dallas. The early WWE rumors have Undertaker battling CM Punk at this year's big Wrestlemania event. If that does go down, it could start after Punk battles John Cena tonight in what the WWE is calling the last match of their feud.
