WWE rumors; Stone Cold Steve Austin still a Paul Heyman guy

Former WWE star Stone Cold Steve Austin did a recent interview, and prowrestlingscoops.com reported on March 1 that he did a lot of complimentary talking about Paul Heyman, proving that Austin still is a "Paul Heyman guy."

When Austin was asked what his most memorable moment in his professional wrestling career was, he didn't mention a Wrestlemania main event, the Bret Hart feud or the King of the Ring tournament where he coined the phrase "Austin 3:16."

Austin said his most memorable moment was in Paul Heyman's ECW, when he was allowed to cut a seven-minute promo on being released by WCW and how they treated him at the end. He said Heyman trusted him to say whatever he wanted and he felt it was an important step in his career to start moving forward.

He then spoke about Heyman in WWE today and said that Paul is the kind of person that can take any young star and bring out the best in them and help them discover their place in the business. Austin also said that Heyman is currently delivering electric performances in the ring every night and the WWE needs to keep him in that spot.

"He’s a valuable asset to the company just as a talent anyway – but what can rub off onto those kids is even more valuable if you ask me,” Austin said.
