Rob Van Dam lost to Alberto Del Rio in a world title hardcore rules match at the “WWE Battleground” pay-per-view, his last match with the company before his contract ended. Now, PWS reported on Oct. 8 that RVD has not been happy with his current WWE run.
This is unusual since he was introduced at Money in the Bank and then enjoyed a number of high profile wins before finishing off with a world title feud. It was also hard for the WWE to book him into more prominent storylines since his deal was only for three months.
Now, there are WWE rumors that he will be back shortly and his contract is basically for a series of 90 day stints with time off, but that also makes it hard for him to get booked into major storylines.
RVD was backstage at “WWE Monday Night Raw” but did not appear. Now, it appears that Van Dam is unhappy with how his recent WWE run turned out. This is interesting since he also complained that TNA Impact Wrestling misused him while he was there as well, and in that case he actually held their world title.
When asked about how his WWE run compared to the TNA run he complained about so much, RVD answered “sort of the same.” With that in mind, there is now concern that RVD won’t be back at all with the WWE.
