The WWE planned for Paul Heyman and CM Punk to feud into December, with Heyman either sticking with Curtis Axel and Ryback, or maybe bringing in another wrestler. According to PWS on Oct. 30, those plans are off and Heyman might be taking an extended break from television.
The end of the feud apparently came when CM Punk beat Ryback in the Hell in a Cell chamber and then beat Heyman badly on top of the cage to end the match. Punk got one more match with Ryback on “WWE Monday Night Raw,” making Ryback tap out to win.
After the match, Punk immediately entered a new storyline with The Wyatt Family, who attacked him after the match. The Wyatt Family also attacked Daniel Bryan earlier in the card, so there is a chance the WWE will team up Bryan and Punk to battle the family over the next couple of months.
Meanwhile, Heyman is out of the picture and there are WWE rumors that he won’t be back until Brock Lesnar makes his return to the company to lead into his Wrestlemania 30 match, rumored to be with The Undertaker.
There is still a chance this is a WWE misdirection, since The Wyatt Family are working for the “Devil,” which could possibly end up being Paul Heyman.
