Ryback is involved in one of the biggest WWE storylines right now, battling CM Punk for manager Paul Heyman. However, PWS reported on Oct. 26 that there is a lot of backstage heat on Ryback and he may end up losing the momentum he has picked up so far.
The reason for the heat is what is perceived as a bad attitude by Ryback as well as what is considered a regression of his in-ring work.
For the in-ring work, some feel he is becoming a liability in his matches, hurting opponents with sloppy moves – most recently further injuring an already hurt CM Punk. Because he has been roughing up his opponents, there is some concern about putting him in a high profile match outside of the CM Punk feud.
Another cause of the heat comes from what is perceived as a “big head.” One of the biggest problems appears to be his attitude at promotional media appearances, where he often acts as if he doesn’t want to be there. With the WWE putting a lot of focus on these appearances, his “ego” has started to rub officials the wrong way.
The rumored Ryback vs. Goldberg Wrestlemania 30 match may be in danger as well. WWE rumors right now states that they will split up Paul Heyman and Ryback and give Heyman a different wrestler to manage while Ryback gets pushed down the card until he turns things around.
