Kurt Angle is giving no indications as to his future plans, outside of saying he would like to retire in the WWE. However, PWS reported on March 22 that some backstage at TNA Impact Wrestling feels that Kurt Angle might join Jeff Jarrett for his new wrestling promotion when his TNA contract ends.
This could mean that Angle does not plan to retire for at least two more years.
Angle's contract ends later in 2014 and there is almost no chance that he stays with TNA Impact Wrestling. The company tried to force Hulk Hogan, Sting and AJ Styles to take major pay cuts and all three left the company. Hogan is back in the WWE, Sting will be there soon and Styles might be on his way to Japan.
There also looks to be a chance that Christopher Daniels and Kazarian will also leave once their contract expire.
Originally, it looked like Kurt Angle might be on his way to the WWE by the end of the year for a one-year run to finish his career on the biggest stage of them all. However, with Jeff Jarrett starting a new wrestling promotion from the ground up, he needs a big star to sell the idea to television networks.
If this happens, Kurt Angle could join Jeff Jarrett and his ex-wife Karen to kickstart the new promotion. Honestly, Angle could wrestle for Jeff for the next year to help build the foundation and then head over to the WWE to finally wrap up his career. He would join a number of indie and international stars that Jarrett hopes to introduce to the world.
