Jim Ross "retired" from the WWE last week, although most people indicate that he was actually fired from the company. According to Rajah on Sept. 26, sources in the company feel that Ross will be back in the WWE by "Wrestlemania XXX" next March.
In his comments since "retiring," Ross has made it clear that it was a mutual decision, but his answers to fan's questions regarding the WWE itself makes it seem like there is some bad feelings towards the company in general.
One recent fan question asked if he thought Hulk Hogan would end up back in the WWE when his TNA contract came to an end, and Ross responded that it is a "non-issue to him." When he was asked if he had a WWE Legend's Contract now, he said it was none of the fans business. He also said that his contractual status with the WWE is not something he wants to talk about.
Jim Ross knows that the WWE is the most lucrative job he can hold, and he has almost perfected the skills of not burning bridges.
According to Rajah, sources claim that Vince McMahon felt Ross' days were numbered ever since "Wrestlemania XXX." Triple H allegedly knew that Ross was on his last legs with the WWE and did everything he could to help Ross before the ax fell.
Regardless of that, the feeling is that Jim Ross will continue to work with the WWE on DVDs and other projects and should be back by "Wrestlemania XXX."
