There were a lot of rumors as to what happened to Ric Flair after the infamous WWE 2K14 panel at the Summerslam Axxess event. According to prowrestling.com on Oct. 15, he might have ended up in rehab.
The event in question saw Ric Flair shooting on a lot of topics during a roundtable fan discussion, talking about TNA Wrestling and his own son Reid’s death. A female employee of the WWE decided he must be drunk and called corporate offices, which resulted in Flair being removed from the panel before it concluded.
As a result, Flair was pulled from the upcoming storyline that had him appearing with Dolph Ziggler at “Summerslam” and finally allegedly resulted in Jim Ross, who hosted the panel, eventually being released from the company.
Since then, Flair has told people he was resting down in Florida with his daughter.
However, new WWE rumors indicate that he was not in Florida resting, he was actually checked into a WWE sponsored rehab stint, allegedly for his drinking problems. Of course, Flair denies he ever went to rehab and that is expected. There is no way Flair ever admits to that.
However, the rumors indicate that the WWE asked Flair to go to rehab and there is a chance he went to get back in the good graces of the WWE, who has postponed using him in any manner since the Summerslam Axxess event.
