WWE rumors: Goldberg teases return to wrestling

Bill Goldberg has been having some fun with wrestling fans on his Twitter account. On Jan. 23, when a fan asked if he might return to the WWE for the Royal Rumble this Sunday, it started an interesting chain of conversation with the former WCW World Champion.

Goldberg answered the first question with a simple "highly unlikely" answer and then his answers got intriguing.

A fan mentioned that "the spear" needs to be seen once again, and Goldberg teased that "It's coming." After another fan accused Goldberg of teasing the fans about returning when he didn't mean it, he said he meant it. He then said that fans know his opinion on the WWE and Goldberg said there was "not a chance in hell" he would return for the Royal Rumble.

It was clear Goldberg was toying with the fans, and finally one commented that "I'm guessing this means you will never be in the WWE again," and Goldberg said "great guess."

This brings up some interesting possibilities. If Goldberg is hinting that he is returning to wrestling, but not to the WWE, that leaves a fee options for him. He could go to TNA, which could make sense because they could afford him and Hulk Hogan is there. He could also go to Japan, where he would surely be a big attraction.

Ring of Honor, or a smaller promotion like Dragon Gate, are not really possibilities based on what Goldberg would be asking for financially.
