Wrestlemania is still five months away, but the early plans for the 30th show are already in discussion. According to 411mania.com on Oct. 2, there are thoughts of having CM Punk battle Randy Orton at the show.
Right now, Orton is in a major feud with Daniel Bryan over the WWE Championship while CM Punk is involved in a blood feud with Paul Heyman and his stable. A move to have CM Punk battle Randy Orton at Wrestlemania 30 could mean any number of things.
For one thing, this could mean that Randy Orton comes out of the Daniel Bryan feud with the WWE Championship, leading to CM Punk battling him for the championship.
Another thought is that Daniel Bryan wins the title and moves on to a different feud. However, another major WWE rumor is that Daniel Bryan will not win the WWE Championship, or win it and have upper management screw him out of the title again. That is because there are rumors of having Daniel Bryan win the Royal Rumble, forcing a Wrestlemania 30 main event for the title.
If that happens, and CM Punk is scheduled to face Randy Orton, that means someone else will step into the battle with Bryan – possible Triple H himself.
As for now, the CM Punk vs. Randy Orton Wrestlemania 30 ideas are just being thrown around, and there is still a lot of time to set plans into motion.
