There has been a lot of news and rumors being passed around lately regarding some of the biggest people in WWE, and it appears that none of it is true. On Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, it was reported that CM Punk had been granted an early release from WWE and that Vince McMahon was interested in buying the Newcastle United Football Club, but Wrestlezone says both are false.

Rumors began on Monday that CM Punk had actually been granted an early release from his WWE contract which is up in June. It appears as if the rumors started due to Punk's real-life girlfriend AJ Lee not working weekend events.

From there, workers began thinking she had also left the company and Punk was officially gone. WWE has given word that Punk has not been released at this time.

On another note, word has been passed around that Vince McMahon was interested in and expressed interest in buying the Newcastle United Football Club soccer team. That news was first reported on Monday by Winner Sports, but it appears to be false as well.

Some of the reports even stated that initial talks had started for McMahon to buy the club.

Rumors killers have now been released that say neither Vince McMahon or anyone in WWE has shown any interest in buying the Newcastle United Football Club.
