According to prowrestling.com on Feb. 21, the WWE has hopes of bringing in a special name to induct Bruno Sammartino into the WWE Hall of Fame. The name they are seeking is Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Bruno and Arnold have been friends for over 40 years, the two men working out together when Arnold was getting his start in competitive bodybuilding. Sammartino also served as one of the judges in the Mr. Olympia contest that Schwarzenegger won. The two have kept up a solid friendship since those early days.
The WWE Hall of Fame is not Bruno Sammartino's only honor for 2013, as the International Sports Hall of Fame plans to induct Bruno on March 2 at the Arnold Classic in Ohio. Of course, Schwarzenegger will be there for that event and the WWE hopes to have him at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony as well. He has worked with the WWE in the past, most recently serving as the "Social Media Ambassador" for an episode of "WWE Monday Night Raw."
Bruno Sammartino will be the top of the class of a very strong 2013 WWE Hall of Fame group. Also inducted will be Mick Foley, Trish Stratus, Bob Backlund and a rumored celebrity inductee of Donald Trump.
