Rumors popped up late in 2012 that the WWE wanted to possibly move and sign Brock Lesnar to a contract extension. His original contract was for one year, and ends at Wrestlemania 29. Rajah.com reports on Jan. 17 that the WWE has finally made the extension offer to Lesnar.
While it is important to know Lesnar's decision before Wrestlemania, Lesnar has made a habit out of waiting until the last minute to make his decisions in the past. How the former UFC Champion is booked for Wrestlemania will surely be based on whether he will stick around or not after that.
The two names that Lesnar has been mentioned to fight at Wrestlemania are The Undertaker or CM Punk.
The Undertaker would be an interesting match, but the two have fought before. The big deal about that fight would be Lesnar trying to end Undertaker's undefeated Wrestlemania streak. Lesnar could mention that Triple H almost pushed Undertaker into retirement and he beat Triple H last year.
The other match would pit the two men that Paul Heyman is currently managing against each other, which would be a fantastic storyline in and of itself. It also could be a great match, with both men utilizing complimentary styles.
If Lesnar signs the extension, it would be the same type of deal, with limited big matches and television appearances leading up to the matches.
