WWE rumors: Bret Hart calls Triple H mediocre, not in top 1,000 wrestlers

The Score Television Network spoke to WWE Hall of Fame star Bret "The Hitman" Hart on Feb. 2 about comments he recently made about Triple H. In the new interview, Hart did not back down on the comment and still said he considers Triple H to be a mediocre wrestler.

In the original interview, Hart called Triple H overrated. He said that he had never had a great match ever in his career. He went on to say that Hunter has a great body and look, but he never came up with anything original in his entire career and was someone that the WWE brought in and made into a star. He called him a decent wrestler, but not great.

In the follow-up interview, he talked about the famed Triple H vs. Undertaker match from Wrestlemania 28. Hart said the match was about a four on a scale of one to 10, and that was a generous rating. He said that Undertaker came into the match hurt, so that probably affected the quality as well.

"He's a decent wrestler. I wouldn't put him in the top 1,000 great wrestlers," Hart said. "I never saw any genius come out of Triple H, nor in any of his matches."

This might damage Hart's ability to contribute to the WWE in the future. After Hart and Vince McMahon came to blows following the Montreal Screw Job, Hart was out of the WWE for over a decade before they finally let bygones be bygones. Now, he is talking down Triple H, who will run the company when McMahon finally steps down.

That doesn't seem to matter as Bret Hart continues to insult The Game.

"I can sit here and tell you that there was one match that he ever had with anybody that I thought was great," Hart said. "It's kind of a shame, he should have a great match somewhere with somebody. And you'd think that he would have had it by now, but I don't think he's a great wrestler."
